We get into a fair amount of chatter about the philosophical nature of the Human condition as presented in the game (hint, it has a lot to do with hope) and how that actually creates an overall better gameworld in which we, as players, experience. Our 9th installment of the Extra Lore series brings Blue, Justin, and returning special guest co-host Damoel together to explore the Borderlands series. We discuss the general layout of the series' universe, delve into the information in the individual titles, and even chat a bit about the multiple weapons manufacturers that players in the game can purchase weapons of destruction and mayhem from. Also, we touch a bit on the overall tone of the series - especially the depth of the worldbuilding and the refreshing use of humor as a device to drive home some powerful punches concerning some of the more notable NPC's players encounter throughout the series. Tighten up the big-boy pants, because things are gonna get crazy.

Ep 61 - The Foundries

Episode 61 brings Blue, Justin, and returning guest co-host Unisys12 together to chat about the lore that we have currently available for the weapon foundries within the City. Forgive Blue for a bit of a scratchy voice - sickness never plays well with audio, and there was only so much water available. Ep 57 - Yes

Episode 57 brings Blue, Mel, and guest co-hosts Kachine and Enver together for a bit of a deviation from the norm, since everyone banded together to support some good old positivity and voted Yes. As much as we enjoyed the absolute mayhem that was the chat this week, the team thought it would be a good chance to talk about the general themes and theories of what it is that we get together each week to discuss. Stories.

The chat bounces around a bit (not a huge surprise, but fair warning nonetheless) and covers the more general theories of the monomyth and how that theory applies not only to most traditional mythologies and stories, but games in particular. Get ready for some discussion on each of the team's favorite application methods of lore in game, as well as an awesome glimpse into the mind of Mel with her views on fabric theory (sounds like something we might need to get an episode on later...)!
